In addition to the great new features introduced in the previous beta release, PR2 includes what we call themes, or "skins." If you like being able to choose your own look for the browser and think that you could create one yourself, enter the Netscape 6 Themes Contest http://www.netscape.com/themes.

Submit your designs by September 30, 2000, and show the world what you can do. We'll showcase all qualified themes in the Netscape Theme Park, and some may even appear in the final release of Netscape 6.

Get as creative as you'd like, go as far with your concept as you can. Use your imagination — use buttons, backgrounds or whatever you've been dreaming about that gives your theme personality and pizzazz. Make your own statement. Just don't forget to make it fun and easy for everyone else, too.

Netscape 6 supports multiple platforms, including Microsoft Windows, MacOS, Linux and UNIX operating systems. Japanese PR2 version for Windows is available today, German and French versions will be available within 30 days.

Netscape 6 is a pre-release version of the next generation browser from Netscape. Given its pre-release status, Netscape recommends that you install this software only if you regularly test pre-release products and that you back up your system prior to installation. Downloading this version assumes you've read the licensing agreement and understand the potential issues associated with using pre-release products.
